Rate and schedule
How much does hull cleaning cost?
Monthly hull cleaning runs $2.60 per foot, per month, with a $50 monthly minimum. Use the calculator on our pricing page to see your rate by boat length, then get your quote and we call you back to confirm on the first dive.
How often do you clean?
Monthly hull cleaning is a standing schedule: your boat gets serviced on a set rotation so growth never gets ahead of you. Everything else, zincs, props, thru-hulls, bottom paint, gets done on your regular visit or on request.
The visit
What does a visit include?
Barnacles, grass, and slime scrubbed off the bottom, running gear, and waterline. Your zinc/anode gets checked every visit and swapped before it wears through. Underwater photos are available on request.
Do you check and replace zincs?
Yes. Anodes get checked on every visit and swapped before they wear through, so electrolysis never gets the chance to eat at your running gear.
Can I get underwater photos of my hull?
Yes, underwater inspection photos are available on request so you can see the condition of your hull, zincs, running gear, and thru-hulls without diving yourself.
Booking and payment
How do I pay?
Pay by check, credit card, or Zelle. Zelle goes to barney.cull@verizon.net.
What are your hours?
We're available every day, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Call (714) 895-2211 to get on the schedule.
Do you do one-time cleanings, not just monthly service?
Yes. Single cleanings, zincs, prop work, thru-hull replacement, or bottom paint can all be booked as a one-time job, not just standing monthly service. Tell us what you need on the quote form; a diver calls you back with a price.
Coverage and salvage
What areas do you serve?
Huntington Harbour and Long Beach. Not sure if your marina is covered? Call and ask, or say "not sure" on the quote form and we’ll tell you.
Do you clear algae and sediment from canals and intakes?
Yes. Algae, aquatic weed, and silt come out of canals, intakes, flow areas, and from under docks and floats, on a schedule or as a one-time job. See the back-bay page, or call and ask for a site walk.
Who hires you for back-bay work?
HOA boards and managers, marina and harbor management, water districts, and homeowners on the water. One number for the board, one crew on the tide.
Can you retrieve something I lost off the boat or the dock?
Yes. We retrieve items lost off boats and docks, and we raise sunken boats. Call and tell us where it went in.
